GoHighLevel Review 2026: Features, Pricing, Pros, Cons and Who It Suits

An honest look at HighLevel CRM in 2026: what each plan includes, the usage fees on top, and whether it fits your business.

By Manish Chandwani, GrowwithBA · Updated October 14, 2026

GoHighLevel (now branded simply as HighLevel) is an all-in-one CRM and marketing platform that bundles contacts, sales pipelines, funnels and websites, calendars, workflow automation, a unified conversations inbox, reputation management and memberships into one login. As of October 2026, plans start at $97 per month (Starter), with Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497, all with a 14-day free trial. SMS, calls, email sending and AI features are billed on top through a usage wallet. It is worth it for agencies and service-led businesses that would otherwise pay for five or six separate tools. It is usually not the best fit for an ecommerce brand that already runs on Shopify plus a dedicated email platform.

This review covers what you actually get, how the pricing works once usage fees are added, honest pros and cons, and who should pick something else. Prices below are in USD and come from HighLevel's own pricing page and help center. Check them again before you buy, because HighLevel updates plans and add-ons often.

What is HighLevel CRM?

HighLevel started as a tool for marketing agencies and that DNA still shows. The account structure has two levels:

  • Agency account: the top level, where you manage billing, branding, snapshots (templates) and every client.
  • Sub-accounts: one per business or client. Each sub-account has its own contacts, pipelines, funnels, calendars, phone numbers and automations.

A single business can use one sub-account and ignore the agency layer. An agency can run dozens of client sub-accounts, resell the software under its own brand, and mark up messaging costs. That second use case is why HighLevel is so popular with agencies, and why its pricing looks the way it does.

Core features

CRM and pipelines

The CRM stores contacts with custom fields, tags, smart lists for segmentation, and lead scoring. Sales pipelines are visual boards where each opportunity moves through stages you define. For service businesses this covers most day-to-day sales tracking. It is not as deep as HubSpot for complex B2B reporting, but it is far cheaper per seat because HighLevel plans include unlimited users.

Funnels, websites and forms

HighLevel includes a drag-and-drop builder for websites, funnels, landing pages and webinar funnels, plus forms, surveys and quizzes. You can add order forms, one-click upsells and downsells, and take payments through payment integrations. The builder is good enough for lead-capture pages and simple offers. Teams that care about page speed and design detail often still build their main website elsewhere and use HighLevel only for funnels and forms. If you need a high-converting lead page built properly, see our lead generation website service.

Calendars and booking

Calendars handle appointment booking, round-robin team scheduling, paid bookings, and automated reminders by SMS and email. This is one of HighLevel's strongest modules. We use HighLevel for our own lead forms and booking, which is a common pattern: forms and calendars sit on your site and feed straight into the CRM.

Workflows and automation

Workflows are trigger-and-action automations: a form is submitted, a tag is added, an appointment is booked, and HighLevel sends messages, moves the opportunity, assigns a user or waits for a reply. Common recipes include missed-call text-back, appointment reminders, database reactivation and review requests. Note that some workflow actions are "premium" and billed per execution (HighLevel's pricing guide lists $0.01 per premium execution, with optional Workflow Pro bundles).

Conversations inbox

The unified conversations stream pulls SMS, email, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, WhatsApp and live chat into one inbox per sub-account. A mobile app lets your team reply on the go. For small teams juggling leads across channels, this alone can justify the switch.

Reputation management

Reputation tools send automated review requests, show review widgets on your website, and offer AI-assisted review replies. Local service businesses tend to get the most from this.

Memberships, courses and communities

You can host online courses, membership offers and communities inside HighLevel instead of paying for a separate course platform. The feature set is solid for basic courses. Creators with large audiences may still prefer a dedicated platform with deeper community features.

White label and SaaS mode

Agencies can white-label the platform with their own domain and branding. On the Agency Pro plan, SaaS Mode lets you sell HighLevel to clients as your own software, create sub-accounts automatically when a client pays, and rebill phone and email usage with a markup. A white-label mobile app is a separate add-on. If you want to offer CRM and automation to your clients without building the delivery team, our white-label services can help.

AI Employee

HighLevel groups its AI tools under "AI Employee": Conversation AI (chat replies), Voice AI (an AI phone agent), Reviews AI, Content AI and more. These are not included in the base subscription. They are billed per sub-account, as covered in the pricing section below.

GoHighLevel pricing in 2026

Here are the subscription plans as listed on the official HighLevel pricing page in October 2026.

Unlimited$297$2,970UnlimitedEverything in Starter, rebill phone and email at cost (no markup), basic API access

Many older reviews call the $497 tier "SaaS Pro". The current pricing page names it Agency Pro. Annual billing works out to roughly two months free on each plan. All plans include a 14-day free trial, and billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. The pricing page also notes that usage-based fees may apply during the trial.

Usage-based extras you need to budget for

The subscription is only part of the bill. Messaging, calling and AI draw from a prepaid wallet that auto-recharges from your card when it drops below a threshold.

  • LC Phone (calls and SMS): HighLevel's LC Phone pricing guide says rates match Twilio's. For the US and Canada it lists local numbers at $1.15 per month, US SMS at about $0.0075 per segment plus carrier fees, and outbound calls at about $0.0166 per minute. US business texting also requires A2P 10DLC registration, which carries one-time and monthly campaign fees.
  • LC Email: $0.675 per 1,000 emails on all plans, with forwarded emails billed at the same rate and email verification at $2.50 per 1,000.
  • AI Employee: per HighLevel's pricing guide, there is a pay-per-use option with no monthly fee, a Growth plan at $50 per month per sub-account, and an Unlimited plan at $97 per month per sub-account that covers Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI and Content AI usage under a fair-use policy. Phone charges still apply to Voice AI calls.
  • Other add-ons: WhatsApp ($10 per month per sub-account plus Meta conversation fees), HIPAA compliance ($297 per month), white-label mobile app ($497 per month), dedicated email IPs ($59 per month), and WordPress hosting from $10 per month per site.

The practical takeaway: a single business on Starter that sends a modest number of texts and emails might add only a small amount each month. A business that adds AI Employee Unlimited, WhatsApp and heavy SMS volume can see its real cost climb well above the $97 sticker price. Model your expected message volume before you commit.

Is it priced the same in India?

HighLevel publishes its prices in USD and we could not find a separate India price list on its official pages. Indian buyers should expect USD billing on a card, possible foreign-transaction charges from their bank, and SMS rates that depend on the destination country. Check the country-specific LC Phone rates before planning SMS campaigns to Indian numbers.

Pros and cons

The points below combine HighLevel's documented features with recurring themes from user reviews on software review sites such as Capterra and G2. Opinions are labeled as such.

Pros

  • Tool consolidation: CRM, funnels, calendars, inbox, automations, reviews and courses in one account. Reviewers frequently cite replacing several subscriptions as the main reason they chose it.
  • Unlimited users and contacts: no per-seat or per-contact pricing on any listed plan, which is rare among CRMs.
  • Agency economics: unlimited sub-accounts from $297 and SaaS Mode at $497 make it easy to package software into retainers.
  • Strong automation for service businesses: missed-call text-back, booking reminders and review requests are quick to set up with templates.
  • Opinion: many users describe it as good value once fully adopted.

Cons

  • Learning curve: the most common complaint in user reviews. The platform is wide, and new users often report needing weeks to feel comfortable.
  • Usage costs add up: SMS, calls, email and AI are metered, so the monthly bill is less predictable than the plan price suggests.
  • Uneven support and stability (user-reported): some reviewers praise fast support while others describe delays, bugs or slow loading.
  • Jack of all trades: individual modules (email design, page builder, reporting) are generally seen as less polished than best-in-class standalone tools.
  • Ecommerce depth: it lacks the deep Shopify product, browse and cart behavior data that ecommerce email platforms are built around.

Who GoHighLevel suits (and who it doesn't)

Good fit

  • Marketing agencies that want to offer CRM, funnels and automation to clients under their own brand.
  • Local and service businesses (clinics, coaches, real estate, home services, education) that live on calls, texts and appointments.
  • Consultants and course creators who want booking, payments and courses in one place.
  • Lead-gen businesses in India or the US that run Meta or Google lead ads and need fast follow-up.

Probably not the best fit

  • Ecommerce stores where most revenue comes from email and SMS flows tied to product and cart data. A specialist platform usually does this better. Our Klaviyo vs HubSpot comparison covers that decision.
  • Larger B2B sales teams that need advanced forecasting, territory management and deep reporting.
  • Teams with no one to own setup. HighLevel rewards a person who will build and maintain workflows.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • HubSpot: stronger CRM reporting, a polished interface and a free tier, but costs rise quickly with seats and marketing contacts.
  • Keap: CRM and automation aimed at small service businesses, with a simpler scope than HighLevel and no agency sub-account model.
  • ActiveCampaign: excellent email automation and segmentation, priced by contacts, with lighter funnel and booking tools.

The core trade-off: HighLevel gives you breadth and agency features for a flat price, while these alternatives give you more depth in fewer areas.

Is GoHighLevel worth it?

Ask three questions:

  1. How many tools would it replace? Add up your current CRM, funnel builder, scheduling app, SMS tool and course platform. If the total is above the plan price plus expected usage, HighLevel likely saves money.
  2. Do you run on conversations and appointments? If leads call, text and book, HighLevel's strengths line up with your business. If customers mostly buy from a product page, they don't.
  3. Who will build it? Budget time (or a partner) for the first 30 to 60 days of setup: pipelines, forms, calendars, workflows and A2P registration.

Common mistakes

  • Ignoring usage fees: choosing a plan on sticker price without estimating SMS, call, email and AI costs.
  • Skipping A2P 10DLC registration: US texting from unregistered numbers gets filtered or blocked.
  • Over-automating on day one: launching dozens of workflows before testing the basic lead-to-booking path.
  • No wallet limits: leaving auto-recharge without monitoring, then being surprised by charges.
  • Using it as an ecommerce email platform: forcing cart and browse flows into a tool not built for product data.
  • Not cancelling or deciding before trial ends: billing starts automatically after 14 days.

Quick checklist before you sign up

  • List the tools HighLevel would replace and their monthly cost.
  • Pick Starter (one business or up to 3 accounts), Unlimited (agencies) or Agency Pro (SaaS reselling).
  • Estimate monthly SMS segments, call minutes and emails, then price them with the LC Phone and LC Email rates.
  • Decide whether you need AI Employee, and on which sub-accounts.
  • Plan A2P 10DLC registration if you text US numbers.
  • Map your first pipeline, booking calendar and lead-follow-up workflow during the trial.
  • Set wallet recharge thresholds you are comfortable with.

If you want HighLevel, or another CRM, set up so leads get instant follow-up and booked calls without weeks of trial and error, our marketing automation service covers pipeline design, forms, calendars and workflows for brands in the US and India.

HighLevel lists Starter at $97 per month, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497, with annual plans at $970, $2,970 and $4,970. Usage such as SMS, calls, email sending and AI features is billed separately through a wallet.

Does GoHighLevel have a free trial?

Yes. HighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on its plans, and billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. Usage-based fees can apply during the trial.

Is GoHighLevel good for ecommerce stores?

It can handle lead capture, SMS and basic email, but it lacks the deep product and cart data that ecommerce email platforms use for flows. Most Shopify brands are better served by a specialist email and SMS tool, with HighLevel used only if they also run appointment or lead-based sales.

Both include unlimited sub-accounts. Agency Pro adds SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling phone and email with a markup, user and agent reporting, and advanced API access.

Can I use GoHighLevel in India?

Yes, HighLevel is available to Indian businesses, but prices are published in USD and billed to a card. SMS and call rates depend on the destination country, so check HighLevel's country-specific phone rates before planning campaigns.
